S. Forrest (Bush) Dumville was elected to the Legislature of Prince Edward Island in the provincial election held on May 28, 2007. He has been appointed to sit on Treasury Board. A Liberal MLA, he was elected to represent the constituency of West Royalty - Springvale.
Bush is a local businessman, community volunteer, and former RCMP officer. He joined the RCMP in 1967 and served with postings in Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Ontario. He opened the Charlottetown Burger King in 1979 and the Summerside Burger King in 1986, which he still owns and operates.
Bush has served his community for over 30 years, as past president of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown and has served as a director of the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce. He has also led charity campaigns for the United Way and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Edward Island. He has played an active role at Spring Park United Church and is past grand master of the PEI Masonic Order. Bush is also a member of the Island Shrine Club and Philae Temple of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Bush and his wife Sylvia live in Upton Park. The have two daughters, Tara (James Jeffery) and Moya; and two granddaughters, Sophia and Chloe.
